This art piece is done the same way as my other serviette or napkin art. Every now and again I just have to throw something together for fun.

Yummie Pancakes
I laugh at my daughters they do all the things I wish I had the freedom to do. I constantly watch my weight and would love to tuck into a desert like this!
The Future Is Beautiful
I recently went to a Family Constellations workshop with two of my daughters. On the drive home we stopped at the top of a hill to take a photo of this beautiful stretch of beach not far from where I live. Is this view not absolutely spectacular? The house in the foreground on the right reminds me so much of the home I year ago. I miss it a lot.

World Cup
We are hosting the world cup soon, so I haven't been having much time to blog as I am working day and night to get some art work together for the next couple of months. I have a small factory going here on my kitchen counter tops, the floor, my desk where ever I am looking all I can see is art work! I am not complaining this is a good time for me work wise.
I am also trying to find a new webmaster for my website so things are going to change there as well. I hope visitors to all my sites will be patient for the next few weeks. Keeping an organisation going costs money and there hasn't been a lot of that for a while so I have to focus on keeping the funds comming in. I will be posting art work every now and again so please keep popping in I enjoy the company. :o)

Key to my heart
Take a look at this incredible work. I discovered this artist about a year ago and I am still so mesmerized. The artist is a young woman and you have to read her story it is facinating and her work is amazing.
You will find her work here http://wingdthing.deviantart.com/gallery/
Funny Story
I have to share this really funny story. I recently did a workshop and one of the ladies on the workshop was so in love with my work that she asked if she could buy two of the samples I had made. I told her that she could buy them with pleasure but I just needed to finish them off. Yesterday her husband phoned me and said it was his wifes birthday and he wanted to suprise her. He said his wife had been going on about my work so much that he wanted to buy the art work she was so passionate about and give it to her as a Birthday present.
I was in a fluster the whole day and things weren't going well, but I had made arrangements to meet him at a local shopping centre at 3.30pm with the pictures so that he could give them to his wife.
My daughter came to visit and we got side tracked with various things and by the time I realised what time it was I was running late. I rushed down to my car to put the pictures in the boot of the car when suddenly I realised I had left my cell phone inside. I placed the pictures on the boot of my car and rushed up stairs to get my phone. I jumped in my car and drove off to meet 'the husband'. When I arrived at the shopping centre and looked around the car.... I though OH NO.... I left the pictures on the boot of my car so I rushed back home to see if I would be lucky enough to find them on one piece in the drive way.
The time it took to drive to the shopping centre was about 15 minutes and back 15 minutes, so I was hoping that they would still be in one piece. As I arrived home I could see the two pictures sitting in the road. I pack my work into Pizza boxes and they looked fine. I was thrilled but just at that moment a car came through the stop street and drove straight over them !!!!! I couldn't believe my eyes! I stopped to pick them up and yes you guessed it, the one picture was squashed flat and completely damaged. The look on my face could have been on Candid Camera! There was nothing I could do except show the client my squashed, damaged picture! Thank goodness I can laugh at this kind of thing. His wife phoned me to say that she wanted the picture anyway if it wasn't too damaged. Of course I will give it to her and she can try to salvage what is left of it. Oh well... another picture bites the dust!

Gloomy Days
Today has not been a good one for me. I deal with abuse all the time and hear stories that break my heart all the time. Abuse takes on many forms and there are two people who I feel that have abused my confidence, my commitment to them and my trust. I have not had a good day and there are underlying reasons for this as well which I choose not to share here, but memories of the past. But when ever I am down and feeling weary I have to sow a seed of love. So I am offering these Freebie's to other artists to use where ever you want. The most wonderful thing about a bad day... tomorrow is always a new day.
Freebie
I am not sure where I got the back ground prints from but if anyone recognises them please tell me and I will give the necessary credit where it is due. If I had a printer I would print this onto fabric and make it into a journal. oh heck...I don't have a printer. Please let me know if you use it I would love to see your work.
Freebie 2
I have seen so many people printing out things to use in their incredible art pieces. I am offering these as freebies. I think they would look amazing printed on fabric. A gift from me to do with what you will. Please let me know if you use them I would love to see what you have done.

Sea Of Forgetfulness
Jesus said when we repent He will wash away our sins, and throw them into the sea of forgetfulness and remember them no more.
I hope that all my visitors and Followers will have a Happy Easter.

What is Art
Art for me is not always about painting, sewing, making. I had a wonderful art day with my daughters yesterday. Art for me is creating something memorable, even if it is with little rocks and food. I hope you enjoy a day with us in the sun.
My Sun
My Moon daughter was away with her husband and family.
My Star.
My Universe are my grandchildren, all 3 of them.
A Heart Full of Love
The rocks we collect on the beach. Now we each have a set wihch we will keep forever in a little organza bag. The one on the right is for my precious grand daughter who is in my heart always. Not sure why the corner is chopped off this picture!
Light Lunch
Does this not look absolutely delicious. We were a little late for lunch so this was actually brunch.
Yummy Goodies
We decided to resist these pastries, savoury and sweet for the more healthy platter of salads and cold meats olives and cheese.
Remember how much I love you.
Yesterday I spent the day with two of my daughters. We went off the beach after breakfast and I asked them to collect some heart stones. We shared them out over a salad lunch a little later so now my 3 daughters and I have four heart stones each which are to reming us of how much we love each other. These are only for the girls in the family, the boys would think we are crazy. The little one at the top on the right is for my grand daughter.
Fog
What always fascinated me about the weather in Cape Town is how quickly it can change. Fog in the morning like this does not mean that a couple of hours later one could not be on the beach. Often it fog comes over in the evening until early in the morning and then disappears when the sun begins to rise. I love listening to the fog horn at night, cuddle up under the duvet and go straight back to sleep.
Misty Morning
I woke up early this morning and the mist was all across the bay. I took this photo with a flash to see if I could get more detail in the palm tree. Low and behold the flash picked up the dew drops it looks a little like snow.
Kindness Spreads
Every kindness spreads in a shining circle: good people everywhere set rings of light moving across the darkness, rings that link and interlink.
I wish you well for Easter and may we always remember why we celebrate.
